WineauxU Brethren:
The Wine Pope had a grand reception at the Vatican last night, celebrating
with Pinot Noirs. The wines were good, but we only found one that really
grabbed our senses, Craggy Range from New Zealand.
Still great fun. We are very picky these days I think. A good thing really!
Next up, South American wines and Hank Fila's home in West Chester. Malbec,
Cabernet, Carmenere, Blends. At least half will be items you can buy at
wine stores today at a reasonable price, and then there are the mucho $$$
wines. But in South American, there are some great buys for outstanding
wines. Taste and see the goodness.
Let me know if you are coming and plan to bring any wines. Please let me
know by next Friday, April 10. Chuck is talking about Don Melchor - awesome
cabs. There will be at least 3 Malbecs and Malbec blends. I have the Casa
Laposotolle 2001 and 2002 Carmenere Blends (top in our tasting last time
for South American - I saved them rather than selling on Wine Bid - just
for yo boys to enjoy for the last time.
So far I have the following attending. No need to reconfirm, only if your
